The #AnnounceYourself campaign aligns TECNO Mobile and Manchester City's efforts to create ground-breaking international fan experiences and deliver a never-before-seen digital marketing campaign within football.

Utilising cutting-edge web-based augmented reality technology, users can enter the virtual world of Manchester City courtesy of their built-in smartphone camera throughout January and February – without the requirement of downloading an app – and uncover a host of exciting content and innovative functionalities.

Within the experience, audiences will live and breathe what it’s like to become a January Transfer Window signing for the club, as they browse and interact with the environment in unprecedented ways, such as exploring the Etihad Stadium and City Football Academy training campus in 360°, crossing paths with first-team players, signing their new contract and selecting their squad number.

Another feature within the experience will be the custom developed 3D TECNO Mobile penalty shootout game, which allows users to take part in a unique spot-kick challenge. The game will host shareable score functionality that acts as entry into a draw to win once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and prizes.

There will also be a range of ongoing, exclusive digital content integrations within the virtual environment, with audiences able to return on a weekly basis to unpack new features.

#AnnounceYourself launches on Monday 17th January 2022 and will by accessible via QR codes and URL shortlinks published across TECNO Mobile’s digital platforms/T-Spot/TECNO Website, as well as Manchester City digital channels.
